Health and Safety at Monk Furniture is monitored, controlled and updated by several methods – this is all co-ordinated by the Companys designated Competent Person:
1. Comprehensive Health and Safety Policy in place to provide guidance and instruction to all personnel
2. Monthly Health and Safety Committee Meeting involving workshop representatives and management
3. Monthly independent consultation with MH Safety Services to assist with maintenance of existing requirements/methods and developments of new requirements/methods as needed by changes in working practices, equipment or legislation.
4. Liaison with Workplace Health Connect (subsidiary of Health and Safety Executive) for news, information and guidance
5. Subscription to Twice Monthly Health and Safety Information Newsletter (Tips and Advice) for news, information and guidance
6. ‘Tool Box’ talks (with supporting literature as required) for all staff as required to impart new or updated information
7. CHAS registration in place for site installation works
8. CSCS registered personnel in place for site installation works
9. Annual Health Surveillance in place for all personnel, carried out by Medacs.
